Cheesy-peasy sauce
100 g sunflower seeds
50 g cashews
200 g Gutopia Cashew kefir
40 g yeast flakes
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp black pepper powder
1/2 - 1 tsp salt
If you're looking for that tangy sauce that will upgrade almost every meal you prepare - this cheesy sauce is the one you want to make. Either you are serving it as a side dish or incorporating it in the main dish, we promise, it won't let you down.
1. Rinse and soak the cashews and sunflowers seeds owernight. If you want to speed up, you can boil them for 20 minutes. Wash them once more after soaking or boiling.
2. Add all the ingredients to the blender and bled until smooth. If you wish the sauce to be more runny, add more kefir. If you want to ferment it, leave it for a couple of hours at a room temperature although the fermentation will happen in the fridge overninght anyways.
3. Serve it with fresh or sauteed veggies, chips, pasta or on the top of the bread with avocado.
Use within 5-7 days.
